Editorial Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026.

Our goal is simple: clear, accurate career guides that answer what a job pays, how long the training takes, what it costs and how to qualify.

Sources

  • Pay, growth and openings come from official statistics, such as the BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics, BLS Employment Projections and the ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings.
  • Costs and rules come from the body that sets them: accrediting agencies, licensing boards, exam bodies and government departments.
  • Every guide lists its sources at the end and states when its figures were last updated.
  • When no official figure exists, we say so instead of estimating one.

How guides are written

Drafts are prepared with AI assistance. A human editor checks every figure against its source, edits the text and decides what is published. A guide marked “fact-check: pending human review” is still waiting for a named reviewer, and we update the byline when the review is done.

Independence

We do not accept payment for rankings or for including a school, employer or program. Advertising, if shown, is kept separate from editorial content.

Updates

We review guides when new official data are published, for example the annual BLS and ONS releases, and change the “last updated” date when figures change.
